Is this timesheet FLSA-compliant?
Yes. The template follows federal FLSA requirements: tracks daily start/end, excludes unpaid breaks, calculates overtime over 40/week at 1.5× rate, and includes employee + manager signatures.
How do I track overtime correctly?
Under FLSA, overtime is 1.5× the regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek for non-exempt employees. California and Alaska have additional daily overtime rules (>8 hr/day).
Should I subtract lunch breaks?
Yes. Unpaid meal breaks of 30 minutes or more must be subtracted from hours worked. Short paid breaks (<20 min) are typically included.
Can I edit this template?
Yes. It's a Word and Excel file. Customize fields, add your company logo, and modify pay rates as needed.
Why digital instead of paper timesheets?
Paper timesheets get lost, faked, or filled out days later. MyCo's face-scan attendance app eliminates this with timestamped, GPS-verified punches. Want to see it? Book a demo.
